Gardeners Delight 2024
22nd and 23rd June – A Gardener’s Delight,
13 gardens, opened over 2 days with refreshments and plant sales. Admission to all gardens was just £7.50.

The following gardens opened over the two days , 254 tickets were sold raising £1906 in total and £1688.25 after expenses were deducted.
£422.50 was donated to the members nominated charity's and in addition £2436.28 was raised from teas, plant sales etc making the total raised for charity £2858.78 and £ 1688.25 for the society
1 Cathy and David 101 Foxley Lane, Purley CR8 3HQ Sun only - opens 11 am
A ½ acre garden developed over 14 years, landscaped in 2020. Large patio, glasshouse, raised beds, herbaceous borders, and small vegetable patch. Designed for continuous colour from February until November. Only 15 minutes from Tadworth. If parking on Foxley Lane, please keep your wheels off the pavement. Otherwise, park in nearby Woodcote Drive. Plants - in aid of The Royal Marsden

140ft featuring circular lawns, shrubs, apple trees, multiple roses, sunken trampoline and Wisley-inspired play area. New additions since last opening in the bridged fishpond and herb garden.

A large suburban garden with a good selection of plants and trees, which is loved, but not manicured; next door there is interesting lifelong collection of cacti and semitropical plants which is combined with the entry.

A one-acre plot previously opened for the NGS. Features include Mediterranean Folly, Japanese garden, Shade Garden, two ponds and large vegetable and fruit plot. Front garden with shrubs and Hartley Botanic greenhouse.

A cottage-style garden with emphasis on perennials in the borders and mature trees providing seclusion. Patio pots and hanging baskets produce an annual display of colour.

Cobbles and shingle support grasses and self-sown plants backed by a bubble fountain. Annuals, phlox and many later following herbaceous plants ensure colour well into September. A garden for all seasons.

A 170-foot garden, divided by a pergola. A large patio leads to a circular lawn with a water feature. A mix of trees, shrubs, roses and herbaceous borders make for a random cottage garden style. Minor changes each year.

A medium sized established garden with a random mix of herbaceous plants and shrubs. Birds and insects are welcome. Somewhere to sit and reflect.

A cottage garden packed with perennials, roses, annuals, bulbs and clematis. A knot garden and greenhouses for propagation and show plants. Garden Room to sit and enjoy the garden. No parking in the Hoppety.

Derek’s late wife’s garden is being kept up and he wishes others to see it. Mixed borders, a wildflower meadow with a shady walk lined with hellebores. New features.

Designed for all-year interest, a small but beautiful garden packed with a wide variety of colourful perennials and shrubs with a lovely pond. Marion is a self-confessed plantaholic. Small changes each year.

Cottage-style with roses, perennials and mature trees crammed into a long Victorian garden, featuring a wildlife pond and various seating areas which have recently been updated.

A well-established garden featuring camellias, rhododendrons, pieris, cotinus, hydrangeas and roses, intermixed with herbaceous perennials. A woodland area is flanked by beech and conifers.
